My Way to Islam Alhamdulillah for Islam

Bismillah arhaman arahim. This is not a big story, but I just thought that it would be nice to share with my Muslim sisters. I ran away from home to be with the man that I love two years ago. I was Catholic back then. We got married

,his religion is islam-Hamdulillah. My parents of course were furious when they found out. I didnt care though. I was and I still am happy with my husband and my son and my religion.

I didnt speak to my parents for a whole year. But one day I spoke with my father and I decided to go have a talk with them. So thats what happened: I still have problems with my parents not because I got married, Hamdullilah we all get along now and my parents love my husband very much, but because I changed my religion.

I have some small arguments with them about it and I tell them to respect my religion and that islam has helped me in all aspects. Now they are getting a little more used to it. I guess they learned to accept my choices and to respect what others want and choose, my dad talks with me once in while about the religion because he wants to learn more about it.

I thank Allah all mighty for helping my family understand. I dont wear the hijab yet though it has been two years already, but insha allah I will be wearing it by the end of the year. Not because I dont want to but I guess I needed time to get to know more about the religion and understand the point of wearing it.

Hamdulillah that Allah almighty gave me that opportunity and gave me time to realize Islam. Hamdullilah for islam and for everthing that it teaches us and does to make things right in this life. I just wish that others would understand islam more and join in on the religion because it is surely the best.

Praise to allah the most powerful the almighty.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. May Allah reward you all.

    Asslamu Alaikum,
    Congratulations on becoming a Muslimah.
I just wanted to give u advice for the sake of Allah (swt). You should start wearing your hijab now and not wait until the end of the year. No one knows when they are going to die. Ramadan is in a few days and it would be nice to greet it with the obedience of Allah (swt). Remember that when you do an act of obedience in Ramadan you get more reward than in any other month.
May Allah help you and keep you firm on the straight path.
