 Understanding Islam Forum Competition

Every Friday, on the Islamway Sisters Forum, the moderators of the Understanding Islam Forum hold a halaqah with topics ranging from Aqeedah (Creed) to Tafseer and Seerah. After three months from the commencement of our weekly Halaqah, a Competition consisting of 20 questions regarding the topics discussed was held. The competition was open to all members of the forum and they were allowed one week to answer the questions.
Alhamdulilah, we are pleased to announce that sister Hawwaa was the winner of the competition and has received a one-year subscription to Al-Jumuah magazine!! Congratulations to sister Hawwa and to all those who participated!
Some of the questions asked were:
1. There are many names for surah Al-Faatihah. In one hadeeth, we are told one name is ____________ because it is the first thing written in the mushaf and the first thing read in prayer. What is this name?
2. Eman (belief) is only testifying to La ilaaha illa Allah in one’s heart and it does not include actions. True or False? Explain and provide daleel (evidence from the Quran or Sunnah).
3. The Prophet sallaAllahu alayhe wasallam was known as Al-Ameen (the trustworthy) by the Arabs before Islam. But when he was sent as a Prophet, they disbelieved in him. Did they accuse him of lying? Provide evidence for your answer.
4. For which purpose did Allah create us? Give the proof? And which surah is dedicated to that aspect of tawheed?
